Who?
Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) — Co-chair, Congressional UAP Caucus
LISTEN: Laslo & Burchett
Ask a Pol asks:
What’s your big takeaway from the Nov. 13 House UAP hearing?
Key Burchett:
“Well, we really need a Select Committee, so that we can go out and get this information subpoenaed, eventually,” Rep. Tim Burchett told Ask a Pol. “But the reality is, none of that's needed if President Trump will come through with disclosure.”
ICYMI — Chair Mace post-Nov. 13 hearing: “We need more whistleblowers”
Caught our ear:
What's your ask to the incoming administration?
“Full disclosure,” Burchett told us. “Nothing else.”
But talking to some of your colleagues, they say some of this information could still be sensitive…
“They're compromised,” Burchett said.
Some of them were just in there at the hearing with you...

TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Tim Burchett
SCENE: Just as the public House UAP hearing was breaking up on Nov. 13, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo caught up with Burchett in the hall — even as he was exchanging business cards with some guests and talking to a cameraman who was recording us.
Matt Laslo: “What's your ask to the incoming administration?”
Tim Burchett: “Full disclosure, nothing else.”
ML: “But talking to some of your colleagues, they say some of this information could still be sensitive. How do you…”
TB: “Yeah, they're compromised.”
Laslo laughs.
ML: “Some of them were just in there.”
Burchett motions to a cameraman following us.
TB: “You good?”
ML: “Here, we can tag team.”
Camerman: “Okay.”
ML: “Let's do it, so that one of us gets your attention.”
Camerman: “How about I walk in front of you guys?”
Laslo thumbs up.
Burchett now talking to a person in line for the hearing.
TB: “I got your card, dude. Somebody's gonna be calling you, we'll set something up, okay? I doubt it will be an hour, maybe 15 minutes. But we'll get something. I'll get somebody to call you. Okay, let me get with these guys. They been waiting on me.
Burchett turns back to Laslo.
TB: “What do you got?”
ML: “What do you think is the big takeaway is from that?”

*Student? Lost your gig? Hard times? Been there. Got you. No questions asked. Just ping us.
TB: “I think the fact that the government has earned our distrust and that the cover-up continues. They keep saying, ‘they don't exist’ yet former federal employees say they do. And that the specific questions weren't allowed to be answered because of a lot of things. But the reality is that America knows. Over half the population agrees that there's something else going on. And clearly, some of those men in there knew the answers.”
ML: “And so do you — now, what steps the UAP Caucus and you all take next?”
TB: “Well, we really need a Select Committee so that we can go out and get this information subpoenaed, eventually. But the reality is none of that's needed if President Trump will come through with disclosure.”
ML: “Yeah?”
TB: “I don't want you to walk out.”
ML: “Are you going to ask Speaker [Mike] Johnson for the Select Committee or are you kinda hoping…”
TB: “Yeah, we'll get — we’ll work with that.”
Burchett turns to some folks waiting for us, but he signals them on…
TB: “C’mon, guys, you're good.”
ML: “Do you — because last time after the hearing, then you had two SCIF briefings and you felt like they were stalling and all that…”
TB: “They were stalling. That's why I said we've got to get it from the president. The president has to do it.”
Burchett turns to cameraman.
TB: “You got anything else, dude?”
ML: “Are you talking with Trump and the transition team on this? Like, do you think there's an ally in there?”
Burchett’s now walking past security before exiting the House Office Building.
ML: “Has [Elon] Musk been texting you? Have a good one.”
