TRANSCRIPT(s): Sen. Stabenow (7-27-2023)

CONTEXT: Sen. Stabenow was rushing and late for a policy meeting when we first asked about David Grusch, which you’ll hear until there’s silence around :10 seconds. Then we circle back with Stabenow when she’s leaving the lunch, just to see if there was more she wanted to add.

INTERVIEW I

Matt Laslo: “You didn’t catch the UAP or UFO whistleblower in the House yesterday?

Debbie Stabenow: “I didn’t get all — no, not much of it.”

ML: “Naw?”

That was chaotic and confused, so Ask a Pol circled back to see if Stabenow really watched parts of Grusch’s testimony before the House Oversight Committee on July 26, 2023.

INTERVIEW II

ML: “Have you heard of this whistleblower David Grusch?”

DS: “I don’t know much about him. I really don’t.”

ML: “Yeah. I figured. No, no, no. I was just curious. Wanted to [let] you fully answer. You were running earlier. It’s not your committee.”

DS: “It’s not my committee.”

ML: “But you have beautiful skies in your state.”

DS: “Yes! I know.”

ML: “Have a good one.”
