SCENE: Sherman’s sneaks up on Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo on his way to vote in the Capitol. Initially Laslo has his mic off when he asks about the new Senate stablecoin measure…

Matt Laslo: Have you seen Sen. Gillibrand and Lummis’ “new crypto measure?”

Brad Sherman: “No, but…”

ML: “Stablecoin measure?”

BS: “…it needs to have a prohibition of mixers in it. I doubt it does, but…”

ML: “Why is that?”

BS: “Sole purpose of a mixer is to mix up law enforcement.”

ML: “Yeah, why is that?”

BS: “You know, it’s a burglary tool. Burglary tools have been illegal in this country for 200 years.”

ML: “Yep. Preciate you, sir. Have a good one.”
