EXCLUSIVE — Sen. Mike Braun on David Grusch: “We ought to be able to see it”

Ep. 129 — Sen. Mike Braun (7-19-2023)

The 118th Congress will be the last for Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN) whether he wins his bid for the governor’s mansion in Indiana or not, which sucks for disclosure advocates because he’s all in on transparency.

“We ought to be able to see it,” Braun told Ask a Pol in July. “Especially since they’re letting the cat partially out of the bag, it sounds like.”

TRANSCRIPT: Sen. Mike Braun (7-19-2023)

Mike Braun: “What have you got?”

Matt Laslo: “Have you heard of this UAP-UFO whistleblower, David Grusch?”

MB: “Yeah.”

ML: “Oh, have you?”

MB: “I’ve heard of it, yeah.”

ML: “Have you looked into it or…?”

MB: “Not really, because it’s a…”

ML: “Not really your thing?”

MB: “No. And I think the only comment I heard a senator make was maybe Marco Rubio on the subject.”

ML: “Well, Rubio has been interesting. You should talk to him about it. Because, for him, he looks at the constitutional question of whether the executive branch is hiding stuff from you all.”

MB: “Right, and I would agree with him and many others that whatever we got, we ought to be able to see it.”

ML: “Right? I wanna see it.”

MB: “Especially since they’re letting the cat partially out of the bag, it sounds like.”

ML: “Yeah.”

MB: “But I’m guessing it’ll be iffy whether we see anything different, but other than that, I haven’t really paid much attention beyond that.”

ML: “Fair.”
